Shop Maker V4 User GuideDelivery managementShop Maker uses delivery groups and ranges to calculate the delivery cost at checkout. A group contains weight ranges and costs and is applied to countries. At checkout, the delivery cost is calculated by taking the shoppers country and the total weight of their items. It then gets the cost by working out which group is applied to the shopper’s country and which weight range the total weight falls into. For example, you may have a group called UK delivery with the weight range of 0-10 with the cost of £5.00 which is applied to the country United Kingdom. If a shopper adds items to their shopping list that have a combined weight of 7, and their country is United Kingdom, their delivery cost will be £5.00 You should make sure you have a catchall range in each group, because if a shopping list is outside of your ranges, no cost will be applied. For example, if you have the ranges 0 –10, 11 – 20, 21 – 30, 31 – 40, 41 – 50, you could add a catch-all range of 51 – 9999999. You may wish to do free delivery if a persons order is above a certain value. This can be achieved by adding a free delivery discount in the discount management area. |
